What’s Green Dot?
It has been proven effective by research, & was funded by the CDC. Research shows that sexual violence decreases by up to 50% with the Green Dot Program. We are using the research & information that has been collected to get everyone involved in stopping violence in Whitley County & creating a safe place for all.

1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will be the victim of sexual violence during their lifetime. 1 in 3 teens report being texted 10-30 times per hour by a partner and 72% of them did not tell their parents.

As a member of Whitley County, you can do green dot! You can take a stand against violence & make a difference in people’s lives! Doing green dots is very simple and getting started can be simple too!
- Believe that violence is unacceptable & say it out loud
- Trust your instincts
- Look out for friends at gatherings & teach your kids to do the same
- Tell other people what a green dot is & how you do them in your life
- Treat people with respect & expect others to do the same.
